Immertec is an award winning, fast-growing startup founded in 2017, building an innovative real-time physician training platform in Virtual Reality. We’re growing fast and our engineering team of talented and experienced developers are looking to add a Web Application Developer to join the team and help establish a strong engineering culture with emphasis on innovative application of technologies and user-centric design.

Our stack is full of modern technologies which includes real-time high-performance streaming VR video, multi-user participation and collaboration, highly available infrastructure, and suite of multi-platform desktop, mobile, VR and AR applications. Being pioneers of cutting-edge technologies also means that we are heavily invested in researching UI and UX design.

The ideal candidate should be a generalist in web technologies. We are looking for someone with experience in design, coding, debugging and shipping high-performance, media rich web applications and back-end services.

• Write efficient, reliable, and maintainable code.
• Work closely with our product managers, researchers and design team to plan and develop new features.
• Help with building and maintaining our back-end, CI, and cloud infrastructure.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Participate in user interviews and focus groups to gain meaningful insights to help drive product and technology roadmaps.
• Mentor junior developers.

Passionate about web technologies, excited to learn, driven to deliver, and experience with some or all of the following:

• Javascript ES7+, React, Node.js, Modern CSS, Git
• Expertise with SQL and NoSQL databases (Firebase, Postgres, MySQL).
• Priority given to applicants with experience in:
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Participate in user interviews and focus groups to gain meaningful insights to help drive product and technology roadmaps.
  • Mentor junior developers.

Remote or at Immertec offices in Tampa, Florida in the up-and-coming Tampa Heights district near Armature works.
